Script Limits

Hi there! We are going into our 2nd week of Skin Fair and as a result things have calmed down (a bit) and to make things more comfortable for our shoppers we have now removed our script limit! Please refer to this blog post for all maps and LMs!

Skin Fair is now open and that means lots of goodies to be had from your favorite and newly discovered skin makers and makeup designers! 3 sims chock full of deliciousness you are sure to find something that tickles your fancy. As with any big event there are some guidelines to help make your experience the best that it can be. Get rid of ALL scripted items. This includes hairs, booties, hands, feet and the like….not only your ao and radar detectors. Wear a system layer bikini. *gasp* Did you just say system layer? Yes, when you go to a high traffic sim, there is bound to be lag and while we do our best to minimize it, mesh items take longer to rezz and most likely all people will see are your alpha layers. No way to impress is it? So dig out that hot lil bikini (sorry ladies but you must wear something to cover them nips as the event is PG) and wear it proudly. Nowadays most hair is scripted in one form or another, and this can be an issue for your script count, so I suggest finding a gorgeous hair base and rocking that look. These measures should help you when you arrive to skin fair, and not only not get you booted, but let you try on skins easily. You are also welcome to join the Pale Girl Productions Info Group where designers sent demos of their work so you may try them on in the comfort of your own home before hitting the event.

Skin Fair and Early Access Pass

In a few hours, midnight SLT to be exact, Skin Fair will open its doors to the selected sponsor groups and its own Pale Girl Productions Info Group for the start of the 24 hour early access pass! This means if you are a member of one of these groups you will be able to (attempt to) visit Skin Fair a full 24 hours before it opens to the public! Of course avi and script limits still apply, so be sure to strip down to your skivvies and hair bases.

Also in order to help you prepare for the biggest event of the year, Pale Girl Productions Info Group and Skin Addiction are both getting demos of the upcoming releases at Skin Fair.

Information Regarding Blogger Preview

Information regarding Skin Fair’s Blogger Preview.

Dates: March 9th-12th

Purpose: To allow SL press access to the event without having the stress of lag in order to report the event on their blog.

Details: NO review copies/freebies will be available at the event at all during blogger preview. It will be up to the individual designer if they would like to send review copies to individual bloggers, but they will NOT be available at the blogger preview. This is about blogging the event. If a designer so chooses they will put up a sign stating they don’t mind being contacted by bloggers who are interested in review copies, but in NO uncertain terms are you to harass/badger/beg for review copies. If found doing any of these things, you will be expelled from the blogger preview and not invited for any future Pale Girl Productions blogger preview. A press release packet will be made available to all bloggers who tp into the event, that will give maps, LMs, and logo.

Skin Fair 2014 Is Coming

On March 14th, Skin Fair 2014 opens to the public. Spanning 3 sims, over 120 designers, it will be the biggest one to date! This year also welcomes makeup creators to the event. Applications have opened for Skin Fair 2014

Applications for Skin Fair 2014 have opened!

Yes that’s right it’s that time of year again to prepare for one of the most highly anticipated events in SL! Along with your favorite skin designers coming together in one place, this year we will also be inviting your favorite makeup designers to participate as well.

The dates for skin fair are March 14 – March 30, 2014. If you are interested in participating in the upcoming fair please fill out the application here

Also we have sponsor spots available! If interested in becoming a sponsor of Skin Fair, please send an IM to either Kira Paderborn or Voshie Paine.

This is completely separate from booth allocations for the event. Again these will be open to any business within SL at the cost of 10000L per sponsorship. Limited to 10 total.

What you will receive as a sponsor of the event.

1) Your logo/billboard is placed at the landing point where it will receive traffic from everyone tping into that sim. You will be allowed to place a script in your logo/billboard that will either do ONE of these things: join a specific group, give an LM, link to blog or MP….your choice.

2) Your logo placed on all promotional material for the event.

3) Your name listed as a sponsor in all press releases

4) Your personal business group invited to a 1 day early access.

The Skin Fair 2013 welcomes everyone!

We are officially open with 2 sims and over 80 skin designers, ranging from fantasy to mesh. We have designers debuted long anticipated releases and special exclusives created for this event. You are welcome to join the official skin fair 2013 group, where you may receive demos of the new releases through the group notices that you can try on in the comfort of your own home. Also included is a special info pack, that includes LMs to the event, maps of the layout, and a lag free outfit.
